Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey talked to the media:

(on being at his first Super Bowl) "I think that's the way it works out. If I was supposed to be here, I would have been here a long time ago. Things do take time, and I finally got with the right group of guys, as a whole. I played with some great players, but this is definitely the best team I've been on."

(on his career with the Washington Redskins) "It was a learning experience. I didn't know half as much as I do now about the game back then. It was a great five years in Washington. I played great but not a lot of wins to talk about, my last four years there. I did make the playoffs my rookie year. Unfortunately they didn't want me there anymore. Here I am a Denver Bronco, probably the best thing to happen in my career. "

(on if he would change anything about his time with the Redskins) "Not really. I think I played the game at a high level. I competed my butt off, and I did everything I could to help my team win. I don't have any regrets. I don't make those calls. My play speaks for itself. The management had an opportunity to resign me, trade me, cut me - whatever they want to do. I just let my play speak for itself, and I have no regrets about anything that happened."

(on if the Redskins trading him provides him motivation) "A little motivation. I'm already motivated to a high level. It doesn't take outside things to motivate me or people to motivate me. I'm highly motivated myself."

(on Robert Griffin III dealing with the Washington media) "I almost feel like he's in the spotlight too much. He's always on TV. It's unfortunate because I know he just wants to be a football player. They give him a lot of attention. It's definitely a big market. The fan base there is tremendous. I know he will come out of that and have a great career. It's just right now when you're losing, everybody wants to beat you up."

(on if he has any advice for Robert Griffin III) "Pretty much what I offer all of our young guys now - just play the game. Let your game speak for itself. Work hard, never doubt your abilities, and never think that you're good enough. You always have to keep working like you're at the bottom and trying to get to the top but believing that you've got what it takes.”

(on why he never proclaimed himself to be the best corner like Richard Sherman did) "I think it's a personality thing. He's a different person. I really can't speak for him, but that's the way he goes about his business. I have no problem with that. I like guys who are comfortable being themselves. If that makes him feel good about it then I'm all for it."

(on if it bothers him that people think he has lost a step) "No. Not at all. Like I said, nothing outside of me is going to motivate me more than me. I'm not worried about it. I don't care. I'm supposed to lose a step at some point, right? It's going to happen. You can't avoid it. Every old player gets old. It's going to happen. I don't feel like I can't play the game and that's all that matters."

(on preparing for Russell Wilson) "It's tough. I don't know if I prefer him to run it or throw it because he is dangerous both ways. One thing we can't let happen is him get out of the pocket and buy some time then we lose our guys, a breakdown in coverage. You can still have great coverage when a quarterback scrambles. You just have to be disciplined."

(on if he has thought about what playing at the Super Bowl will be like) "Those moments cross my mind, but I'm trying to just stay away from that. I don't know what I'm going to feel like. It's a first time for everything, especially at the Super Bowl. Just kind of taking it in stride."

(on if he's talked to any guys on the team who have played in the Super Bowl about what to expect) "Not really. I think every guy is going to be a little different. I heard they dialed back a few of the pregame things, so that is definitely going to help. We can get right to football."
