Prior to her career at WJET/WFXP, Raychel worked for Erie's CBS affiliate for six years. She worked her way up from weekend reporter to morning and noon anchor in a short amount of time.
Raychel received her Communications & Media Studies Degree at Penn State Erie - The Behrend College. Her interest in TV began when she was attending McDowell High School in Millcreek Township. She was involved in TV-16, a cable access channel solely run by the students in the Communications Department. Raychel entered the news business shortly before 9/11/2001, a day that changed her entire perspective on the importance of the media. She immediately discovered its sense of urgency and accuracy. Since her first report to the present, Raychel says what she enjoys the most is meeting and talking to the people in her hometown who make a difference, and reporting the news that matters to the people who care.
When she is not working her full or part time job, Raychel volunteers her time with many different organizations. Raychel has been a long time volunteer for the Make A Wish Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She is also on the board of ErieKIDS and the NWPA Advertising Federation as well as a member of the Erie Kiwanis.
