ABC television network, along Jet 24 and Youth Service America, is giving to those who give. We are calling on the young volunteers in our area who make a lasting impression. Jet 24 and Humes are looking for a change-maker in Erie.

Tim Dunst, General Manager of WJET TV stated, “WJET is very pleased that ABC and Youth Service America chose Erie to be part of this. There are a lot of very motivated young people in our area that run great nonprofit organizations and we look forward to giving them an extra thousand dollars to help them out."

If you are one, or know one, that person could win a thousand dollars for their organization. Youth leaders who are dedicated, have a positive attitude and are hard workers are encouraged to apply. Our community is filled with young people making a difference and now is their chance to highlight their commitment for cash. If you're a young community member ages 5 to 18 involved in youth-led projects we want to hear your story.

ABC is inspiring kids and their families to make a positive change by helping the planet and make a lasting change to the community. Matt Clark from Humes in Waterford tells us they wanted to be a part of this because they believe in the power of our youth. " A peer role model of sorts so their friends can see what they're being involved in and how they're recognized and if it is important to them with all the distractions out there now for today's youth it's great to see someone that would really take an interest in helping someone else and how rewarding that is," said Clark.

To apply visit our website at YourErie.com. The contest runs until July 31st.
