Good Kid: Emma Sprong 8/26/13

Emma's very artistic, and she likes to share her love through her artwork.
Sometimes you meet a child and her spirit just warms your heart.
That's what happened when we headed out to Linesville to meet six-year-old Emma Sprong.

Martina Sprong, Emma's mom, says: "Emma is a fantastic little girl. Everything about her makes her special."

Emma's very artistic, and she likes to share her love through her artwork.

Martina, "She very much enjoys making pictures for people when they're sick. We put them in the mail. If she knows someone is sad, or having a bad day, she'll draw them a picture."

She's a little girl with a huge heart.

Martina, "She really enjoys helping people. That's really what she likes to do. She likes to make people feel good."

She sounds a lot like her dear aunt Kathy. So as a way to remember her, she let her nana cut her hair for Locks of Love.

Emma Sprong, 6 year old, says: "She put it in a braid and then cut the braid off."

She always had long hair, so it was a big decision to get so many inches cut off. But it was a gesture that just felt right.

Emma, "Because I wanted other little girls and boys to have hair."
