ERIE Pa. - You'll once again be able to monitor the lake conditions before you head out onto the water, thanks to the Regional Science Consortium.
For the 4th year, weather buoys will be placed in the lake, about 2 miles from shore. These buoys will monitor waves, wave action, water temperature, wind speed and have real time video as well.
This year, a new buoy will be placed near Walnut Creek in 50 feet of water. For those heading out on the water, a web site is available to view current conditions.
