Candidates Take Part in NAACP Forum

- October 16, 2013 - With just three weeks until election day, members from the community heard from some of the candidates up for several city and county positions this evening in a candidate’s forum put together by the NAACP.

Candidates running for judge, sheriff, city council, county council, Erie school board, and county executive took the stage at the Jefferson Educational Society.

JET 24/ FOX 66 reporters Danielle Woods and Mike Holden moderated the event.

Candidates tackled a wide range of topics, including education, job creation, building up the neighborhoods within in the city and county, and ultimately what can be done to improve the area

Community members said the forum helped them get a better idea on where our future leaders stand on topics affecting all members of the community, including minorities.
