Tyrique Tate killed by self-inflicted gunshot

ERIE, Pa - Tuesday July 11, 2017 - Erie Police have officially ruled the shooting death of 19-year-old Tyrique Tate a suicide.

Tate, and two other teens, were shot June 19th in the 600 block of East 24th street after an argument broke out inside a vehicle. 

The other victims, an 18-year-old and 16-year-old were seriously injured in the shooting.

Three other people were involved, but not hurt.

Erie Police say the victims stated, after the argument, Tate shot at them and then turned the gun on himself.
