The fire started in the north end of the building and burned some combustibles and rafters.
No injuries were reported but according to officials, the fire was intentionally set.
This is the third time in the last month that firefighters have been called to the building.
"You can't secure the building. The building's so big and there's so many voids in it. The windows are open, the doors are open. We're constantly harping on the owner to secure this place but it's virtually impossible,” said Guy Santone, Erie’s Chief Fire Inspector.
Santone will meet with the building inspector tomorrow to determine the future of the building.
The investigation into Sunday’s fire is ongoing.
