Alleged Credit Union Robber In Custody

A man is in custody following a robbery at a credit union on Buffalo Road this afternoon. Police have identified the suspect in the robbery at the Erie Federal Credit Union as 28 year old Charlie Meader. Meader allegedly handed the teller a note and got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police Chief Randy Bowers says the suspect was picked up at 10th and Parade Streets after a fingerprint was found on the note that he handed the teller during the robbery. Chief Bowers tell us a bank employee also picked the suspect out of a photo line up. Meader is in the Erie County Prison tonight. His bond is set at 150 thousand dollars.
