August 16, 2014 - For the fifth year, a couple dozen boats made out of cardboard took part in the Bayfront Maritime Center's annual regatta.

The event challenges families and people of all ages to work together and craft a boat made out of cardboard.

Event coordinators told us the event is more and more popular each year.

Participants were vying for three awards: crowd favorite, fastest boat, and/or most dramatic sinking.

The money raised from this event go towards supporting BMC programming geared toward children, teens, and soon, veterans.
