Today is National Astronomy Day, and visitors to the observatory were able to take a look into space through specially filtered telescopes.

Folks were able to ask questions beforehand and were advised what to look for once they put their eyes to the telescopes.
The Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were all visible to view..

National Astronomy Day is an annual event intended to bring astronomy to the general population.
