The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is holding a public hearing Thursday on a new casino and racetrack complex proposed near New Castle.

The hearing is scheduled for May 8th at 10:00 am at the Mahoning Township Community Center.

The proposed casino and track would join a growing number of similar gaming locations in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The Lawrence County facility would host harness racing along with slots and table games.

The gaming board will consider input from the public in deciding to grant the necessary licenses for gambling and racing.
