Erie City Council heard a public presentation this morning from the developer of a future bayfront hotel. The Cobblestone Hotel would be located at the foot of Liberty Street across from Erie's bayfront.

City Council had the opportunity to ask Erie developer Tom Kennedy questions about the proposed hotel.

In addition to the hotel creating jobs City Council member Dave Brennan says another benefit will be the property taxes coming to the city. Brennan says the small hotel will be a low cost option for those wanting to stay along the bayfront. “I think what's important about the hotel is that it's private money. there's an experienced developer that's hopefull going to provide local jobs we stressed that at the meeting that we'd love to see local jobs."

Erie City Council still needs to do a final vote on the project.
