July 3, 2014 - The fate of Conneaut Lake Park is still unknown after the Crawford County Commissioners decide not to vote yet on whether to sell the park in a sheriff's sale. The commissioners were expected to take a vote at today's meeting but decided they didn't have enough information to make a decision.

Conneaut Lake Park could be sold for back taxes at the annual tax upset sale on September 26 unless the county received an acceptable plan to repay the overdue taxes. The Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County presented a plan to get the park on track financially which is what the commissioners are taking into consideration.

The commissioners have two work sessions before the July 17 full meeting which would be the earliest they could vote. Based on required court filing deadlines, the earliest a sheriff’s sale for Conneaut Lake Park could happen would be October 3.
