A memory walk honored victims of domestic violence this morning at Presque Isle.

The walk honored the memory of Lexie Castile, a victim of domestic violence.

More than 50 participants walked between beaches 1 and 6 to raise money for SafeNet, a non-profit organization that helps victims of domestic violence.

Lexie's mom hopes that this walk will inspire more people to get involved in the cause, and prevent tragedy from striking another family.

"No one deserves to go through that. If I can just help one person not..prevent what happened to my daughter, that would mean a lot to me," said Laurie Holler.

Lexie's son was also at this morning's walk, honoring his mother's memory, and celebrating his birthday.
