Erie City Council will take steps at its next meeting that could combine water, sewer and refuse bills.

The resolution is being sponsored by councilman, Bob Merski Junior who is asking the city solicitor to draft an ordinance that combines water and or sewer and garbage bills.

He also asks for the policies to be revised to give the city a mechanism to shut off water in the event of non-payment.

This latest resolution stems from the city's efforts to bring in millions of dollars in delinquent garbage fees.

Council's next meeting is Wednesday, April 16th at Erie City Hall starting at 7:30 PM.
