Erie Gives Day Distributes $2.27 Million to 313 Non-Profits
AUGUST 22, 2014-- More than 300 local non-profits are receiving more than two million dollars in donations from the Erie Community Foundation’s Erie Gives Day. The Erie Zoo played host to the fourth annual check distribution. 313 local non-profits are benefiting from this year’s Erie Gives Day. The 12 hours of giving raised more than 2.27 million dollars. For this year more than 5,000 donors made more than 11,000 donations to local non-profit organizations. The foundation, along with other sponsors, had a pro-rated match that was 9.38% of the 200,000 dollars in the match pool.
