The Erie Police Department is on the receiving end of four brand new police cars. The cars will replace four cars that have exceeded 100 thousand miles.

The four Ford vehicles were purchased by the city through donations from Erie Insurance and Gannon University. Mayor Joe Sinnott says the donation is a good example of public private partnerships.

Each car fully equipped costs around 40 thousand dollars.
