The S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie and environmental educators are hosting a free fishing day on Saturday at the Rotary Pavilion. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.;
Fishing equipment will be provided and fishing licenses are not required, making this event a good chance for someone to try out fishing for the first time.
"Presque Isle's one of the best places for fishing, especially for the kids at Rotary Pavilion, it's really good with all the little fish that are in there so they're almost guaranteed to catch stuff. You can throw anything in there for bait and they're pretty much gonna hit on it there," says Ray Bierbower, environmental education specialist.
Space is limited. To reserve your spot you can call 833-7424.
