A new Integrated Business Transformation program at Gannon University is hoping to develop more technology based businesses in our area.

The program is funded by a grant through the Department of Community and Economic Development.

More than $500,000 will help provide an 8-week business course and micro-loan grants to local entrepreneurs.

This program is a collaborative effort between Gannon's School of Business, the Erie Technology Incubator and the Small Business Development Center.

"We like to talk about stress testing their idea and giving them a chance to learn sales, marketing, finance, accounting. Intellectual property, what's that all about, how to really take a concept or prototype and truly commercialize it," says Jeffrey Parnell, executive director of the Erie Technology Incubator.

There are still seats available for that 8-week course.
