Local Family Moves into Habitat for Humanity Home

- July 28, 2014 - For Mike and Tamara Rowan and their three children, today is the day that they receive the keys to their new home at 2506 Camphausen Avenue.

This 21-day habitat for humanity build kicked off in April and wrapped up in May: all thanks to the generous volunteers and financial contributions from FMC Technologies.

There were also other volunteers, like students from Central Tech, who not only were helping out, but also learning valuable lessons outside of the classroom.

Mike and Tamara also helped with the build, and also met other requirements -- like classes dealing with finances -- that allowed them to be the latest family helped by Habitat for Humanity.

To date, the Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity has built 61 homes in the area with deserving, local families.
