Locals Create Petition After Death of Pit Bull

On September 20th Millcreek Police responded to a call of a loose pit bull hanging from a tree. They reported some people felt threatened by the dog which led to police shooting and killing the pet. Now the dog's owners and supporters have submitted a petition and say they will continue to protest for justice. Protesters say they are upset with the way the police handled the situation and say the pit bull did not need to be shot. They claim the dog was killed because of the stereotype of his breed. 1,409 people from France, Malaysia, England and all around the United States have signed the petition requesting different ways to restrain loose dogs. Local protesters say they will continue to raise awareness about this issue.
