The Erie Community is mourning the loss of “Brady Bunch” star, Ann B. Davis.
She passed away this weekend after falling and bumping her head in her San Antonio home.

Davis was an actress who once called Erie home and got her start at the Erie Playhouse. Almitra Clerkin the Executive Director of the Erie Playhouse said this about Davis " She was a great talent, fun, great spirit...we all know that from things we've seen her in so were pretty proud of that, and pretty proud that the playhouse had part of her past." Davis starred in “The Taming of The Shrew” and other plays as a young woman. She then became a national success with the “Brady Bunch”.

Doris Becker who volunteers at the playhouse and graduated from Strong Vincent with Ann in 1944 had this to say about her former classmate " She and her sister Harriet were so much fun. They were the cut-ups of the class of course and we were in choir together. We were in the choir together and they were just a joy."

Playhouse officials say she has inspired many including Erie's rising stars
