May 10, 2014 - For the fifth year in a row, Sonya Arrington and her organization, MATV, hosted the Stop the Violence Rally and March.

The theme was simple: dare to care.

Arrington is making a plea to the community to stand up with one another and work together to tackle what seems like a growing issue of violence in our community.

Dozens attended this rally, which was originally started after Arrington lost her son, Steve, to gun violence.

Arrington said she wishes more people would have attended, but she stressed that she believes in "quality" over "quantity," i.e., she appreciates those who attended because they were passionate for the cause and invaluable in the push to make Erie a safer place.
