It has been one year since a Christian youth camp in Spring Creek Township suffered a big loss when a teen set three buildings on fire, killing 29 animals. Now, the camp is rebuilding and persevering.
Just hours after 175 campers left, a 16-year-old boy set fire to hay in three buildings. Fast forward one year and the camp has turned things around. They had a record 1,250 campers having the time of their lives this summer. They've started to rebuild two of the barns and even expand thanks to the help of people with kind hearts.
The teen confessed to the arson. The camp staff says they stay in touch with the troubled boy's family and try to help them when they can.
