New EMTA Director Named

Michael Tann has been named Executive Director of Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority. Tann had been the acting executive director of since November 1st.
He took over after the previous executive director Dennis Solensky and the EMTA mutually parted ways.

Tann is overseeing the construction of a brand new 70 million dollar building near 14th and Parade Streets.The first phase of the project is expected to be complete in June of 2015.

The first phase will house the maintenance facility and bus storage.The second phase will house buses and administration offices.

The first phase cost is a little under 30 million dollars and the second phase around 37 million dollars.
