An Erie man who shot another man outside of a bar enters a plea today in court.

Robert Walker pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and persons not to posses a firearm.

He was initially charged with criminal attempt at homicide, but that charge was dismissed.

Police say Walker shot Emmanuel Beason outside of an Erie bar near East 3rd and Parade Streets.

Walker faces up to 30 years behind bars.

His sentencing is scheduled for July 1st.
