Police and Hospital Security Vehicles Collide

May 15, 2014- Erie Police are trying to figure out what caused a two car crash involving one of their own vehicles.

Just before 1a.m. emergency crews were called to East 3rd and State Streets for a crash between an Erie Police Department vehicle and a UPMC Hamot security truck.
A light pole was damaged and ended up resting on the side of a nearby building.
Police at the scene weren't sure what caused the crash, but are investigating.

Both the officer and the driver of the security truck taken to the hospital for evaluation of only minor injuries.
