Portion of Route 77 Closed Due to Flooding

May 22, 2014- A portion of Erie County Line Road was closed this morning at the intersection of State Road 77 near Spartansburg.

Shortly after midnight Spartansburg fire Department was dispatched for water on the road.
The crews arrived on scene to find that heavy rains had caused the damage.
They removed a combination of water, mud, gravel and debris which had washed down from Erie County line Road and had covered the highway.

PennDOT was called to the scene and they closed the road by placing cones to prevent motor vehicles from entering.
No word at this time post to how long the road will remain closed.
