Rollover Crash on I-79 Sends one to UPMC Hamot

June 6, 2014- One man was severely injured this morning when he was thrown from his car during a rollover crash.

That accident was called in just before 2 this morning just north of the 26th street exit on interstate 79.
According to Pennsylvania State Police on the scene, 37 year old Stewart Phillips was traveling south on Interstate 79 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over.
He was thrown from the car, during the rollover.
Crews rushed the Phillips to UPMC Hamot for severe injuries he suffered in the accident; there is no word on his condition.

The on ramp from West 26th Street was closed while crews were on the scene.
