Following a brutal winter that wreaked havoc on streets, Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott announces the 2014 construction plan to fix the deteriorated roads.

The City's Streets Improvement Program includes milling and asphalt resurfacing, curb damage repairs, and painting of traffic lines and crosswalks.

Mayor Joe Sinnott is calling this an ambitious streets program this year. Contracted work totals $2.6 million, with more than $600,000 to be done by city employees.

Street repairs total a $3.2 million construction season.
