General Electric and Hardinger Transfer have teamed up to help local veterans in need.
The Veteran's Association provides housing to homeless vets, but they rely on community donations to furnish that housing.
GE approached the VA to ask how they could help, and the VA had a quick answer - space to store donated items.
So GE and Hardinger Transfer donated a storage unit, space to put the storage unit, and shelving.
Michael Wehrer, Supervisor of the Homeless Care Team of the Erie VA told us, "It really makes you appreciate the generosity of the people in Erie who, they don't have to go out of their way to do these things. But they chose us - they came to us and said, you know, we're veterans and we would like to support the work you're doing with veterans. "
Anyone who would like to donate can contact the VA Hospital.
