A Christmas classic takes the stage at the Warner Theatre this weekend.
This is the 53rd year the Lake Erie ballet is presenting The Nutcracker.
Once again this year, the Lake Erie Ballet Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, with a new conductor this year.
Hugh Keelan, the former music director of the Erie Philharmonic, will lead the orchestra.
Also new this year, joining local dancers from the Lake Erie Ballet are dancers from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
Executive Director Lake Erie Ballet Alethea Bodine says, "We're partnering with the Point Park University dance department; they're bringing 20 dancers and they're doing some of the larger pieces, the meat and potato pieces like snow and flowers."
You can see The Nutcracker this Saturday at 7 pm or on Sunday at 2:30 pm.
Tickets are available by calling 452-4854, or you can buy tickets online at erieevents.com.
