The latest snow storm to hit the Erie region is causing trouble for snow plow crews, police and local residents. Numerous local churches are canceling services for Sunday. A list will posted at the bottom of this article. The Erie Police has asked us to remind you that the Snow Emergency is still in effect and that odd-even parking is still required in the city. Consult posted parking signs on your street if in doubt which side to park on today and tomorrow. Also, Erie County has re-activated their Emergency Operations Center to cope with the new storm and asks that you NOT drive unless it's an emergency. Roads are in very poor condition with even the fire trucks getting stuck today. Erie libraries are closing at noon and the Children's Museum closes at 1 pm.
We have had several calls into the Newsroom complaining of a lack of snow plows in Millcreek Twp. We just talked to the Millcreek Police and they assure us that all township plows are out working but the rate of snow fall combined with the new snow is causing lots of trouble keeping the streets clear. Please don't travel unless you absolutely have too.
