Is your treadmill sitting in the corner collecting dust? Try these ideas for exercising more consistently.
Pencil it in. Look at your schedule for the week and actually write in when you're going to exercise. Then stick to it. Many people find it easier to adhere to working out when they do it first thing in the morning.
Incentivize yourself. If motivation is the problem, reward yourself for small goals. For example, if you exercise at least three times a week, then treat yourself to a non-food gift item. After a month of succeeding, up the ante on a more significant gift.
Find a fitness friend. The two of you can hold each other accountable for working-out. This is essential on the days when you just don't feel like hitting the gym.
