An annual tradition prepares to kick off in Harrisburg.
The 102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show will run this year from January 6th to the 13th. The show generally draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to take in any number of the nearly 12-thousand competitive exhibits. The PA Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural exhibition in the U.S. This year's theme, strength in our diversity.
"Our agriculture industry is made up of men and women, young and old, rural and urban. They are German, Irish, African American, Amish, English and many others. They come from the Allegheny plateau to the piedmont region," said Russell Redding, the Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary.
The agricultural industry employs nearly half a million people in the Commonwealth and contributes $74.5 billion dollars to the PA economy.
