13 businesses make this family's holiday more merry

Repairs continuing on the home that was the scene of a tragic flooding accident that killed two men.  Work on the home at the corner of East 30th and Florida streets is more than halfway finished.

13 businesses joined together to complete the restoration project at no cost to the family after finding out they had no flood insurance.  Owner of Weber Construction, Keith Weber, tells us, "I was honored to get the call to be able to give back... it's just been a great pleasure working for the family."

Elizabeth Sturgeon, daughter of flood victim and resident of the home, says, "When we were first here looking at it, we didn't know that there were that many people that cared this much about us... about people they don't even know, they've all come together."

The project would have cost the family roughly $30,000.  Repairs are expected to take about one more month to complete.

The following businesses have played a part in the renovation for Sturgeon:

Mammoth Restoration
Keith Weber Construction
Great Lakes Sewer and Drain
Antonio and Sons
Duchini Block
Lowe’s Home Improvement Center
Weber Electric
TJ’s Plumbing
Dwyer Plumbing and Excavating
Bobcat of Erie
North Coast Sanitation
Legion Supply
The Gatherings
