18 year old Alyssa Stafford arrested in robbery case

Erie Police charged 18 year old Alyssa Stafford today with setting up an attempted robbery that led to the shooting of a Millcreek man this weekend.

According to investigators, the victim said he made contact with Alyssa Stafford, then met her in the 600 block of East 11th Street early Sunday morning.

The victim said she escorted him into the bedroom of a home, where three armed men attempted to rob him.  He, then, tried to flee and was shot in the abdomen.

Stafford was arraigned Monday morning on charges including Roberry and Aggravated Assault, among others.  Her bond was set at $100,000. 

The victim, a 43 year old man, is in stable condition.  He drove himself to UPMC Hamot around 4am and was taken into surgery with serious injuries.  

More arrests are expected.
