On the tails of a devastating announcement from a large Erie company, a refreshing partnership comes to Erie and surrounding areas. ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages joins Coca-Cola system by acquiring distribution territory in Erie and throughout Pennsylvania.
The territory acquisition will create the 10th largest Coca-Cola franchise company in the United States. A primary distribution facility will be in Erie, Pennsylvania, serving Crawford, Erie, Forest, McKean, Mercer, Potter and Warren Counties.
The company has transitioned more than 1,250 employees to ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages (104 in the Erie area) and will invest $10 million a year in facilities throughout the state.
In addition, the transition to ACCB will provide community support and philanthropic giving for local non-profits, local partnerships and sponsorships in the performing arts, social services and athletics, project volunteering and involvement on local boards.
