Arby's gives 7,000 Erie kids 10 free meals

With school ending this month, one company is making sure every child has access to a good lunch.  Arby's kicked off its annual School's Out, Food's In Campaign.

Restaurant officials gave lunch passes to more than 7,000 children in Erie.  Each pass covers 10 free meals.  Organizers say this is Arby's way of feeding the kids who might otherwise go hungy.

Coordinators say with each punch on their card, kids will get a sandwich with either curly fries or applesauce on the side.

Jenny Webster, General Manager comments, "we've raised, in the last 30 years, over 80 million dollars to ensure that children when they are out of school are able to get a nutritious lunch, because one out of every five kids in our city depends on that lunch."
