'Beads 4 Needs' and the girl that is saving lives, one bracelet at a time

Her endless passion, perserverance, and positivity helps one local girl become the face of Shriner's Hospitals, nation wide.

11 year old Emily Mellish was born with Spina Bifida and severe Scoliosis.  Thanks to Shriner's Hospital in Erie, she has overcome all obstacles.  The hospital chose her as the National Patient Ambassador for the year.  Emily says she plans on visiting all 21 Shriner's Hospitals across the nation to share her story.  "I want to share my smiles," says Mellish, "and spread that Shriner's is the best."

Over the last five years, Emily has been making and selling bracelets, donating 100% of the proceeds to the hospital.  So far, she's raised more than $75,000.  Her business is called, 'Beads 4 Needs' and you can check it out on her facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/Beads4Needs/.
