Lawmakers were called back to Harrisburg on Saturday to consider a revenue package. One local representative calling the session, "a total waste of time and taxpayer money".
State Representative, Ryan Bizzarro, says Speaker, Mike Turzai, called the representatives to Harrisburg so he could force a vote on a spending plan he put together himself.
Bizzarro says the plan was never made public and added that even after the Speaker met with his own caucus, they rejected it.
"It was an utter waster of time," says Bizzarro, "a complete waste of taxpayer money and Dave, I'm embarrassed to serve on such a dysfunctional legislative body".
Bizzarro says House and Senate democrats and republicans, along with Governor Wolf, stand ready to deliberate a responsible budget package.
