Erie, Pa - April 7, 2017 – In a 11-1 vote the Community Health Net Board of Directors discharged Chief Executive Officer Dr. Anthony Snow.
The organization says the immediate action is part of Community Health Net's new 10-year strategic plan.
“For over 32 years, Community Health Net has provided public healthcare services to the Lake Erie region,” said Barbara Drew, Board Chair of Community Health Net. “Our new strategic plan defines a future in which Community Health Net is the preeminent, community-focused, healthcare network that advances the wellness of the region. Today’s decision by the Board of Directors is the first step in a series of actions to align the organization to that vision.”
Craig Ulmer, Chief Information Officer and 30-year veteran of Community Health Net, will manage day to day operations until a new CEO is selected by the Board.
The organization will release its new strategic plan to the community within the next few weeks.
