Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper (D) and two dozen riders hopped on a bike to enjoy the scenery today. The riders went on a 42 mile bike ride that started at the Greenways Trail Head in Corry and stopped at a dozen historical places and towns along the way.
The plan behind the ride is to bring attention to the agriculture land preservation and the planned Erie to Pittsburgh trail.
Dahlkemper told us, "We're here in Corry because there is a bit of a bike trail here. The question is, how do we connect this bike trail in Corry to a greater system of bike trails, which we know will bring economic development to the region?"
After more than 10 stops, the Bike Around the County Ride ended up at the Erie County Courthouse.
