Students at Penn State Behrend were dancing their way to a cure for childhood cancer.
Behrend hosting their annual 24 Affect fundraiser, a 24-hour dance marathon, no sitting and no sleeping allowed. Penn State Thon seeks to conquer pediatric cancer through outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of the Four Diamonds Fund located at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
Executive Director of the Behrend Benefitting Thon, Frank Casertano, says, "as we're standing here, you know, we're thinking about the kids that can't give up. If they can't give up, we can't give up. We gotta be strong for them."
Thon is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, reaching more than 15,000 student volunteers across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
