Weather was not a friend of Discover Presque Isle but that didn't kept people from enjoying the festival.
The wind caused coordinators to move the first movie night from the beach to the park area near the end of Beach 11.
The movie night wasn't the only change at this year's Discover Presque Isle.
Coordinators also canceled that helicopter rides because of technical difficulties.
Of course, the most obvious change, the festival moved from Beach 8 to Beach 11 to accommodate the growing crowds.
Coordinators said so far the switch has been successful, tackling some of the safety concerns with the old set up.
The executive director asked people to park at Beach 10.
That's where a shuttle pick visitors up and drop them off near the concession stands.
The guests we spoke to say they're happy with the way day one wrapped up with a movie night -- despite the weather issues.
