Donations still being accepted for Red Kettle Campaign

ERIE, Pa. -- You may not see the bell ringers out and about, but the Salvation Army in Erie is still hoping to meet its 2016 goal for the Red Kettle Campaign.

The Salvation Army in Erie is keeping the Red Kettle Campaign open in hopes of reaching its goal of $190,000. So far, the campaign as raised $148,361.96 in 2016. That number is $10,283.94 short of last year's total of $158,654.90.

You can still donate by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or by text message with the phrase “ringthebellerie” – all one word and lowercase – to 71777.

You can also mail a check to P.O. Box 737, Erie, Pa. 16512.
