Investigators searching for cause of east Erie fire

ERIE, Pa. -- Fire investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed an east Erie home early Sunday morning.

Calls started coming in just before 3 a.m. Sunday for a fire at East Sixth and German streets.

The fire had already taken over the first floor of a three-story duplex when crews arrived.

The house was reportedly vacant at the time.

One Erie firefighter was transported to UPMC Hamot for a minor injury.
