EPD looking for suspect in attempted robbery of convenience store

Erie Police Detectives are looking for a man who allegedly held up an Erie convenience store.  Detectives say at 6:45 last night, an unknown suspect walked into Almadina Supermarket in the 2300 block of Parade Street, pointing a handgun at the cashier, demanding money from the register.

Before he was able to take any cash, a customer entered the store, allegedly scaring off the suspect.  He is described as a black male, 17 to 18 years old, six foot four, with a slender build.  At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black and grey jacket, black pants, and a black scarf over his face.

He fled the scene heading east on 24th Street.
