ERIE, PA - Hundreds of people got their 'phil' of macaroni and cheese Sunday, benefiting the Erie Philharmonic.
A dozen, Erie restaurants competed for the title of the big cheese, serving different themes of mac and cheese.
This is the first time for this event.
Executive Director of the Philharmonic, Steve Weiser, says proceeds benefit the educational and special projects.
"We're trying to reach a new, younger audience. We do teh big concerts and events that we do, but we really want to reach out and find a new segment of the audience for us."
Weiser says they plan on making the cheesy competition an annual event.
